How are you doing? How is Gipsyteam? - Do they pay you? - Everybody is forcing me to work. What do you mean? How much do they pay you? - Not much. - How much does Demidov pay you? Not much. Is he the one, who pays me? Actually, everybody must pay me. You must know the hand, that feeds you. Sergey Safronov feeds me. Thanks to him. Misha, since when have you become such a hipster? Since the time, when Pokernews called me that. In the videos on Gipsyteam he looks like a total hipster. Guys, we filmed a short promo, explaining how to qualify for Sochi via Phase 1. At 10pm we were going to play football, Lyuba came up to us and said, she would film how we play. We went downstairs because those guys were late. And Lyuba is like this. 'Buy me some booze', said Lyuba. I said, 'holy cow, aren't you over 18 or what?' So, I bought her some booze. On her own dime, of course. I saw a familiar face and thought, 'it must be a destiny' I've just seen John Juanda at Starbucks. Hey, John. Come here. We'll feed you. He won EPT and other numerous title. Let him pay for us. While we're at the WSOP, you can already qualify for Sochi on partypoker. Here is a Zip Line. People take their seats and ride to another tower. I did it with vandir4rek two or three years ago. Here is a steakhouse. It's called the VooDoo steakhouse. The steakhouse is on a lower floor. Here is a club. On the weekend it's crowded here. Everyone parties hard here, as everywhere in Las Vegas. This is a view of the main area of the Las Vegas Strip. In fact, this isn't the main area. The main area is probably the gambling one. The main area is further down the road. More than 2 million people live here. Come on! That's it. 'This is just one poker tournament. It takes variance and luck and playing your best, and all those things came together, and I'm happy to be the winner. Blumstein's final hand of an ace of hearts and a two of diamonds ended up being stronger than that of Ott, who went all in with an ace of diamonds and an eight of diamonds. The community cards were a jack of spades, a six of spades, a five of hearts, a seven of hearts and a two of hearts. It was the last card that prompted Blumstein's supporters to erupt. 'It takes variance and luck and playing your best, and all those things came together, and I'm happy to be the winner 'I'm really happy with the result, really happy with the deuce because I was playing good, but I'm pretty tired of poker at this point honestly, and to have to go back and battle pretty deep again, I wasn't looking forward to it,' said Blumstein, who fell to his knees near his supporters after the two of hearts was revealed. Blumstein, Ott and seven other players reached the final table after having bested more than 7,200 participants. Each of them was guaranteed at least $1 million. The famed tournament marked the end of this year's series, in which dozens of tournaments drew 120,995 entrants from around the world, shattering attendance records. Neither he nor Blumstein, of Brigantine, New Jersey, had previously played at the main event. PHOTO: Scott Blumstein reacts after winning a pot. His final winning hand was a pair of twos Both had dozens of supporters who cheered and gasped - depending on the hand - throughout the night. Some in Team Blumstein sported T-shirts that wondered 'Is this real' and others that declared 'I don't like folding.' Ott said overall he was satisfied with how he performed and the result. 'At the end the chips didn't go my way,' Ott told PokerNews.com after the event. 'The cards didn't go my way. But I got second place in the third largest Main Event ever. I can't complain about that.' His total live winnings stood at more than $300,000 before Sunday. Besides his multimillion-dollar payout, he also took home a bracelet made from white and yellow gold, diamonds and rubies. The millions of dollars Blumstein earned probably won't go toward buy-ins at high-roller poker tournaments, though. Blumstein said money is not what motivates him to play, but his payout will allow him to do 'whatever' he wants to do whether that is play more poker, go into business or return to school PHOTO: Blumstein (center) had dozens of supporters including relatives and college friends attending The champion's home state is one of three states where online poker is legal, along with Nevada and Delaware. 'When you play online in New Jersey, it's hard for any live pro to see even close to the amount of hands I've probably seen in the last two years.' PHOTO: Scott Blumstein reacts after winning a pot at the World Series of Poker main event Hey everyone, it’s Derek with Nerd or Die, and I’m excited to debut the first item for our Jackpot alert package, which is available now in the Nerd or Die store. What your looking at is a slot machine themed alert for Muxy, that allows you add your own icons, emotes, or pictures quickly and easily. It also includes default icons and custom sound effects that you can use or replace if you’d like.
In this video I’ll walk you through the steps of setting it all up, show you how to add in your own images, and how to change some options such as win chance and more. Let’s get right into it. So to start off, this alert is a paid product. But, if you’re someone that is waiting for our next free product, I promise you it will be releasing pretty soon, so make sure to check back for that. For those that are interested in this alert… it’s one that we put A LOT of work into and I think it’s pretty awesome. We even made a small app that generates a sprite sheet, which will allow you to use whatever images or icons you’d like with the slot machine. I’ll get more into how to use this later in the video. The package also includes a rainbow slot reel effect, intended for use for large tips or resubs. I want to quickly mention that we have more alert games coming soon as well, but let us know if there’s anything you’d like to see! We designed this to be used as a fun game to play with your viewers and channel supporters. It’s up to the broadcaster to decide what winners receive if they hit the jackpot this website. I want to stress that you SHOULD NOT offer any rewards with monetary value. Some ideas for winners would be things like awarding channel currency, setting up a gaming session with winners, or just sending them a personalized message. Of course, giving “rewards” is not necessary as well, you could just use this for fun! It’s really up to you on how to use it. ---- To get started, you’ll first need to go to the NerdOrDie.com shop and go through the checkout process. Once you’ve checked out, you’ll be able to download the files directly on the webpage or through an Email that you’ll receive as well. Download the Read Me and the .zip files included. If you’d like, you can follow along with the Read Me file, as it explains all the steps needed. Extract everything in the the folder from the zip file somewhere on your computer. You can do this with a program like 7zip or WinRar. Before we start, let’s first make sure we’re logged into Muxy.io. To install your alerts you simply need to open up the Muxy link file, titled “Muxy Jackpot Slot Machine Alerts by Nerd or Die”, by double clicking it. From here, you should see a quick preview of the slot machine, and all that you need to do is click “Copy and Start Editing”. This will create the alert package in your Muxy account automatically. Next, let’s remove the alerts that we don’t want to use for this package. Let’s say you don’t want to use this as a host alert, click the host alert tab, and then find the “Delete alert” button. To be honest, we originally only intended this to be use as a tip or cheer alert, but I wanted to make sure you had all the options you needed with this package. Now, let’s add these alerts into OBS Studio. With OBS open already, under the “Alert Package URL” we’ll see a button that I can click to copy the URL. I can also click the eye icon to show my alert package URL, and then copy it here. Inside of OBS I’m going to add a browser source. Paste in the alert package URL and set your width to 1920 and height to 1080. If this size is too big for your OBS Studio settings, you can click and drag the bounding box to scale it down as needed. Let’s test to see if things are working. I’ll use Muxy’s test alert to send a $2.00 tip. If things were done right, you should see your alert come through and and the slot machine spin. Meaning everything should be working correctly! Before I move on, if you ever need to get back to editing the alert packages in Muxy, you can click the “Alert” button on the left, and then use the wrench for which alert package you’d like to edit. ---- Let’s now talk about how easy it is to add in your own emotes, icons, or images to the slot machine. All that you need to do is open up the file “Sprite Sheet Maker for Jackpot Slots - Nerd or Die” in your browser, you can do so by double clicking it. This will launch our sprite sheet app on Nerd or Die. From here, you can follow the onscreen instructions… but, it’s as easy as this. Decide what icons and images you want to use, and have them saved somewhere on your computer. Next, we need to go back into our Muxy alerts, and go to the “media” tab. We’ll see an image of our default icons, and when we hover over that, we’ll click the pencil icon to edit which image to use. Click the upload button, then find your newly downloaded sprite sheet. Once you’ve selected it, it will be added to your alert, and you just need to hit “Save Changes”. To test if the new icons are working, click the “Open Preview Window” button to get a quick test of your new alert. Repeat this process for any other alert that you’d like to use the slot machine for. You can use the same sprite sheet, or different sprite sheets for all your icons. ---- Let’s get into changing the options for our alerts. There’s two sections of options. First, there’s the built in Muxy rules. Let’s click the “Big Tip - Slot Machine (Rainbow Effect)” alert and go to its “General” tab. We’ll see the “Display Condition” towards the bottom. This section let’s us set rules for when each type of alert applies. So, right now, the Rainbow Effect alert will play when a tip is at least $10. We can easily change that to 20, by changing the amount to at least $20. Let me quickly hit the preview window button to show you what the rainbow effect alert looks like. Also, I want to mention that sometimes the preview window does not follow your rules, so the donation amount displayed might be under $20. However, if you use the test function inside of OBS to send a tip of a certain amount, it will work properly. Anyways, you can edit the rules of the Muxy alerts for each alert. For example, if you want the Rainbow effect alert to play for resubs at 3 months, instead of 6, you can change it the same way I just showed you. Also, if you need to duplicate an alert, like the rainbow effect ones, you can do so by clicking the duplicate button, and then editing the rules, icons, and sounds as needed. ----- Let’s move on to the next set of options that each alert allows you to change. This part is completely optional, and you may skip it if you’d like. Click the HTML tab to get to this area. Now, this might seem a little intimidating if you’ve never used HTML before, but I promise it is quite easy if you follow along. All the alerts have options located at the top in their code. If you look here, you’ll see winChance, matchTwoChance, useDefaultSounds, and vertical spacing. After each, you’ll see a number or the word yes, which is in quotes. Let’s say you want to change your win chance from 1 percent, which is its default, to 25%. To do so, I will simply change ONLY the 1 to a 25. Make sure you do not edit anything other than the numbers, or the word yes when changing these options. If you accidently delete the the comma after the number 1, it will cause the alert to not work properly. If you do break these somehow, you can always reclick the original link and recopy the alerts back into Muxy. Anyways, you can also change the match two change, which means the chance of matching two icons in a row, but not a third, as well. The use default sounds option can be yes or no. If it’s set to yes, it will properly play the default sound effects we’ve included in the package. The Right Knowledge

It pays to invest in your job search... The competition a writer has to face has drastically increased in the past decade, especially since the amount of people reading for pleasure is decreasing. While methods of publication on the internet have grown exponentially, publishing by traditional print means is becoming more difficult. For this reason, as a writer who seeks a print publication you need to be more competitive - simply because the writing market is decreasing.
Here are some ideas to give you an idea you need to stand out from the hordes of writers. Develop Your Own Style Many writers work hard to make their style match well known authors. In my opinion, this harms the writer rather than helps them, because in the long run it’s really not a unique style. It’s someone else’s. As a reader, what I love most is an author who’s style is unique and distinct. I’ve noticed that some authors have developed their style or techniques to the point that readers can recognize the writing as the authors without knowing it’s the author’s piece of writing to begin with. This is difficult without an established fan base, but it’s something all writers should strive for. Get Your Hands Dirty Don’t be afraid to try new things. Try creative styles, new genre’s and new techniques. You might just like it. Experiment and find out what works. The best writers never stop experimenting; they’re not afraid to try something new. Make Your Characters Real If not the #1 thing that attracts readers, characterization is #2. Impersonal characters put a reader off. Personally, if the characters are personally, I’ll end up not finishing the book. Create characters that draw the reader in; make characters that the readers want to know more about. Most importantly, make characters that people can relate to, but also characters that surprise the reader. As a reader, there’s little that will annoy me more than poor grammar.
Using correct grammar, including spelling and punctuation, gives you a bit of credibility. It makes you seem much more professional than if you’re mistaking “you’re” with “your” and a colon with a semicolon. If you use correct grammar you make your writing appealing to the reader, which should be your goal. It also makes the reader think you know what you’re talking about, or at least more than if your writing is littered with errors. You should never use poor grammar. Typically, making grammatical errors shows one of two things: ignorance or laziness. If you have troubles with writing, you can use a Persuasive essay outline service provided by Edusson Blog. Neither should be an excuse. If you consider yourself a writer, it’s your duty to know if a usage is correct or not; if you are unsure, it’s still your duty. Moreover, it’s your job to proofread your own work. Likewise, laziness can’t be an excuse; if anything, it’s worse than not knowing how to use a grammatical situation correctly. It shows that you don’t care. If you don’t care, i don’t care; if I don’t care, I’m not going to read your writing. To summarize, grammar lets the reader know how serious you are about writing. It tests your perseverance and demonstrates your willingness to work and learn. The more grammatically sound your writing is, the more professional it will be. A somewhat debated topic amongst writers, character profiles have both their pros and their cons. Some writers choose to create character profiles or brief biographies about their character to help them learn more about the character themself. In a character profile, the idea is to write as much about the character as you can, even things you may not use in the actual writing. Your intent is to create a personality for the character.
Some writers find this technique very helpful; other writers find that this restricts the character too much. The second type of writer prefers to create the character as they write, shaping them to the story as opposed to shaping (the events) of the story around the character. If you choose to do a character profile, include the following:
Keep in mind that this technique is used by some writers, but other writers resent it. My best advice would be to find out if it works for you; if so, use it. If not, then find something else that works. For me personally, I never had any success with creating character profiles. However, I do know several people who have; for that reason, I’ve chosen to write about it briefly. |
